Decarbonisation is changing the way businesses operate. There are exciting changes to be made, but the scale of change needs a new approach. 
By connecting and supporting business leaders through our peer learning programme, we aim to empower, support and connect leaders to scale decarbonisation across their organisations and supply chain.

We build peer groups who empower each other to take action through unpicking goals, developing pilot actions, and testing opportunities together, with feedback. 

By participating in Journey to Zero you are embarking on a bespoke programme that grows as you grow, and changes with your needs. It will enable you to make the changes that are on your mind already, but perhaps currently seem too complex to dive into. You will learn how to leverage your own capacities and capabilities, and how to confidently make the right changes for your business.

  • What is a peer unit?

    A peer unit is an intensive 80 minute session where you will go through three learning stages: 

    1. An introduction by a facilitator to the session topic. 

    2. Time in small, structured peer group to work on the new topic using a constructive peer learning framework. 

    3. A collective wrap up to gather resources and decide actions that you are going to take forward. 


  • What is my role as a peer learner?

    You will: Openly participate, bring your expertise as a business leader, explore and discuss decarbonisation for your business, provide and receive feedback, meaningfully challenge yourself and others.

    Climate Business will: Provide structure, offer inspiration and frameworks, facilitate meaningful conversations, tap into learning resources and information, bring you together with like-minded leaders.


  • What is Climate Business's role ?

    Climate Business will: Provide structure, offer inspiration and frameworks, facilitate meaningful conversations, tap into learning resources and information, bring you together with like-minded leaders.

  • Is peer learning quality learning?

    Yes, peer learning is a highly valuable method of learning in which you will be the centre of your own learning experience. Unlike traditional learning where you are fed set information from a hierarchy, in peer learning you will exchange and develop knowledge with others, based around the expertise of your own business. Peer learning is a well used method of learning in top Universities and training institutions. 

    Each peer unit is a structured session with an experienced peer facilitator who will guide you into a topic, and give you a framework for working with your peers. You are never left without guidance. 


  • How large is a peer group?

    Peer groups have about 15 people in them to provide a variety of input and opinions, however, during each peer unit you will break into small focused groups where you will never be more than 4 people. 

  • What will I gain?

    As a business leader you are the best person to steer your business into a decarbonised future. You already have the potential to do this locked within you. During and after Journey to Zero you will find your own methods to steer your business, enact these changes and adapt your business as the world shifts to a radically different economy. 

Coaching
